1. Tricks in Different Apps
Dial an Extension Automatically with the Phone App
The Phone Number Pause feature in iPhone allows you to tell your iPhone to pause after calling a number and then dial another number. So, let’s say you are calling a friend in company “X.” The company telephone number is 123456 and your friend’s extension is 789. Using this option, iPhone will first dial 123456, pauses until the call is answered, and then dial 789 automatically. To use this feature just tap and hold the star button ”*” after the first number. A comma will show up. Add the second number to dial after the pause.
Google Maps as a Free GPS
While traveling abroad, you can use Google Maps as a free GPS without an international data plan. While offline, simply zooming to a map area you want in the maps app, and type “ok maps” into the search box. This data will be available even when you do not have data connectivity.
Stop Music with Clock
You can stop music playback after a certain time. This is especially helpful if you like to fall asleep to music, but not wake up to it. Go to the Clock, then Timer, and set the duration. Select the option “Stop Playing” When Timer Ends.

Signal Strength Displays with Number
A. Type *3001#12345#* and then hit Call in keyboard
B. After you tap the Call button, you will see the Field Test as follow. Now you’ve got a negative number indicating the decibels referenced to one mill watt (dBm) rather than a signal bar.
Close the Multitasking Bar
When closing apps in iOS 7 in the multitasking bar (after double click), you can close up to three apps at once. You just have to use three fingers.
Take Photos & Videos with iPhone Headphones/Volume Up Button
Click the volume + button on the remote on your Apple or Apple-compatible earbuds while in camera mode to click and shoot, or the middle button (play/pause), while in video mode, to take selfies.
Check Recently Closed Tabs in Siri
On the iPad, when you press and hold the + button for new tabs in Safari, you get a list of recently closed tabs.
Spotlight Search
When you type anything on Spotlight Search, it can bring up and access almost anything that’s stored within your phone, your contacts (can be searched by name or number), apps, messages, calendar events, songs, videos and a lot more (if all else fails, your phone will offer to do an Internet search for you). You can customize it to your requirements by going to Setting > General > Spotlight Search. You can head straight to Spotlight Search when you need to make a call, send a message (instead of going to contacts list), find an app that you might have misplaced among hundreds of apps, or to locate a song (you can search by title, artist or album), instead of scrolling through all playlists.
Delete/Recover the Last Digit with Swiping Across with Calculator
If you wish to delete or recover the last digit you inputted, simply swipe across the readout from left to right, or vice versa.
Scientific Calculator
Turn the calculator sideways, and it becomes a scientific calculator.
Banish a Banner Notification
You can just swipe right to left to banish a banner notification. It’s very important to know this when that embarrassing text shows up suddenly on your screen.
Another Function for Earbuds
With the remote of your earbuds, you can go to the next track or the previous track while listening to music or podcasts.
Scroll to the Top with One Click
When you’re way down on the page, tap the top bar of any app, you will scroll back to the top immediately.

3. Tricks in Setting
Accessibility Feature
When a child wants to play your iPhone or iPad, you may need to turn on the Accessibility Feature. This feature keeps little fingers from clicking or tapping and ending up someplace they’re not supposed to be, or even deleting something accidentally.
Go into Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access and turn it on. Turn on the Accessibility Shortcut, also.
Airplane Mode to Charge Twice Faster
If you put your phone on airplane mode, it will charge twice as fast. Try it when you’re traveling, it’s really time-saving.
Assistive Touch
If you have a broken home button or have trouble touching the screen, enable this option. Once you enable it from Accessibility settings, you will see a big white dot on the screen.

4. Tricks in Keyboard
‘Shortcuts’ Section
Shortcuts enables you to teach the phone permanent shortcuts to complicated words you type a lot. Go to Settings -> General -> Keyboard->Shortcuts, you can set it as follow:

On the iPad, you can make typing more comfortable by switching your keyboard to thumb mode. What you need is to simply swipe two fingers across the keyboard.
Hold 0 to Get Degree Icon
If your topic is related to weather or chemistry, you may need this function to present “degree”. Hold the number zero for several seconds, and the degree icon will show above. Choose the one you need.
Shake to Undo Typing
When typing message with keyboard, sometime you may want to delete all of them by pressing the “delete” button, one by one. Alternatively, you can choose to shake one time, and then choose Undo Typing; all messages will be deleted by one click.

5. Tricks in Camera
Widescreen View
Open Camera, choose Photography mode, double tap on the screen to have a widescreen view of what you’re recording. Also, the footage looks less shaky.
AE/EF Lock
AE/EF lock is the Focus & Exposure Lock with the iPhone Camera, which is useful when you want to take a picture with challenging lighting or depth conditions. The “AE/EF Lock” appears, when you toggle the screen and hold for several seconds and then the lock is set. Release this function by click the screen again.
Shift from Photo to Camera
While using the Camera app, rather than tapping on the Camera Roll thumbnail in the lower left, simply swipe from left to right to quickly access your photos.

While we wouldn’t recommend holding your breath for those technologies just yet, 2016 will be filled with incremental tech developments that will serve as a foundation for a much smarter future.
Virtual reality, artificial intelligence and smart cars will move to the main stage in 2016 as hardware is commercialized and cloud technologies make way for multi-functional computing.
At CES, the world’s largest annual tech convention to be held in Las Vegas Jan 6-9, there will be more square-footage and vendors dedicated to cars, wearables, robots and drones than ever before — a whopping three-and-a-half football fields’ worth of space for smart-car technologies alone.
This will set the stage for a 2016 of technology companies expanding into new niche markets, such as healthcare and auto, as their software products and services become increasingly ubiquitous.
Virtual and augmented reality
In 2016, virtual reality will finally get its chance to shine on a consumer level, while augmented reality will continue to prove itself in the workplace. There will be 46 gaming and virtual reality exhibitors at CES this year, up 68% from last year.
In what Juniper Research predicts will be a “watershed year for VR,” 2016 will see the launch of Facebook Inc.��s FB, -0.08% Oculus Rift, the first consumer-level virtual-reality headset that doesn’t require a smartphone like Alphabet Inc.’s
GOOGL, +0.96% Cardboard and Samsung Electronics’ 005930, +2.88% Gear VR.
HTC Corp. 2498, +2.42% and Valve’s Vive VR headset will also hit the market next year, after the launch was postponed in December when developers experienced a “very, very big technological breakthrough” that made the initial version obsolete, according to Engadget .
In addition to the new hardware, 2016 will also see an increased focus on VR content in gaming and entertainment, as well as the development of consumer-level 360-degree cameras for amateur virtual-reality shooting from the likes of GoPro Inc . GPRO, +2.22%
Meanwhile, augmented reality, which became a larger topic of discussion this year after Microsoft Corp. MSFT, -0.02% showed off its not-yet-released Hololens headset at a product event, will push its way into the workplace.
At CES, vendors are expected to showcase real-world applications for these augmented-reality headsets, such as enhancing a person’s task on the job by interposing digital images like a map or instructions on top of objects in their surrounding environment.

Wearables
Apple Inc. AAPL, +0.30% helped make people comfortable with the idea of wearing tiny data-collecting computer screens on their bodies with the April 2015 launch of Apple Watch . In 2016, expect more players to hop on this trend, and expect newer devices to be more capable.
At CES, there will be 33 exhibitors showing off wearable technology, nearly triple the 12 in 2015. These devices are expected to be outfitted with sensors and showcased in ways that prove their applications in health, fitness and the enterprise market.
Soon, these devices will be able to connect directly to the Internet, without needing to tether to a third-party mobile device. This will help set the stage for embeddable wearables, such as Chaotic Moon’s biometric tattoo, or tech tats, which attach to the skin much like a temporary tattoo.
Smart cars
At 200,000 square feet, up 25% from 150,000 last year, automotive technology will take up a record three-and-a-half football fields’ worth of space at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.
While it still may be a few years until we see fully autonomous vehicles, there has been recent movement from both a technological and regulatory standpoint that might help make 2016 a stand-out year for smart-car tech.
In December, reports suggested Google and Ford Motor Co. F, +1.19% could join forces to create a joint venture that will develop self-driving vehicles with Google’s technology , while in California, regulators unveiled a proposal that would require licensed drivers to be present to operate an autonomous vehicle.
Driverless driving is “almost ready for prime time,” said mobile app developer Appetizer Mobile’s CEO Jordan Edelson.
It will take a few more years for cars to become fully autonomous, but 2016 will likely be a year of partnerships between tech companies and auto manufacturers as they work toward the development of fully-autonomous vehicles, Edelson said.
Artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence, similar to the tech that powers Windows’ Cortana and iOS’s Siri, and machine learning technology, which powers Google’s search engine, will continue to be incorporated into technology products, services and software in 2016 as mobility remains front and center.
But AI will continue to find its way into robots as well.
At CES, there will be 23 robotics exhibitors spanning 10,000 square feet, an increase of 71% from last year. Their robots will span everything from at-home cleaners and companions to retail assistants similar to SoftBank Group Corp’s 9984, -1.07% Pepper robot, which rolled out across stores in Japan earlier this year.
French company Blue Frog Robotics is expected to begin selling a social robot called Buddy in 2016 that it claims will interact with “each member of your family,” though Edelson suspects it will take another few years until robots begin filling personal roles, such as child care or nannying.
“People will start to slowly accept robots once they see their usefulness,” he said.
In addition to robots, 3D printers will be in force at CES this year. There will be 58 exhibitors across 24,050 square feet, an increase of 31% from last year.
Drones
Drones will cover 25,500 square feet and have 29 exhibitors at CES, more than quadruple the number of vendors as last year. Drone exhibitors are expected to showcase smarter drones, such as drones with tracking technologies, or those with additional sensors to more accurately read their environment.
This comes as drones continue to move into the consumer market, with the Federal Aviation Administration predicting that more than a million of the devices could be sold in the 2015 holiday season.
“The market is exploding,” Edelson said.
The FAA is expected to introduce final rules for commercial drone flight in 2016. In 2015, it moved to enact rules that require operators to register drones of certain sizes. It also approved drone research flights for a number of commercial customers, notably Amazon.com Inc. AMZN, +1.41% , which plans to launch a drone delivery service called Prime Air over the next few years.
Edelson predicts that more recreational use cases, such as gaming, will come online for drones in the coming year as well.
Self-charging phones
New technologies – some of which will be showcased at CES – are enabling phones to charge through wavelengths. At CES, Ossia Inc. and Japanese telecom company KDDI Corp. 9433, +2.57% will showcase a product, called Cota, that will automatically recharge mobile phones at a distance, similar to how WiFi transmitters deliver data from routers to devices.
Cota serves as a central hub, sort of like a wireless router, that pushes out targeted energy through wavelengths to charge devices without having to plug them in or place them on a pad.
This follows existing technologies that take advantage of smartphones’ wireless charging standard, known as Qi. The company Qi Wireless, for example, produces pads that charge phones when placed on them. Earlier this year, the home furnishing giant Ikea began selling tables that wirelessly charge phones when the mobile device is placed on the table top.
Other companies, such as Israeli startup StoreDot, are looking to introduce instant charging and longer-lasting batteries. The company is pledging to introduce a battery next year that would charge a smartphone in 60 seconds or less.
“These batteries are due for a major overhaul,” Edelson said

Install apps that will let you change your phone’s MAC address. In order to log into WhatsApp as another person, you must replace your MAC address with the individual’s MAC address.
iPhone users, first Install Cydia from the web. Once downloaded, open the app and search for “network-cmds”. Click on “network-cmds” then “Install”. Press “Confirm”. Once downloaded, search for “Mobile Terminal”. Click “Mobile Terminal”, followed by “Install” and “Confirm”.

Android users, first root your phone. Then, download “BusyBox” and click the app and install it. Finally, download “Terminal Emulator”. These apps are free from the Google Play Store.

Change ("spoof") your phone's MAC address to that of your target.
iPhone: Open “Mobile Terminal;”. Type “su” and press ↵ Enter . Enter “Alpine” as the password. Type “nvram wifiaddr=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx”, replacing “xx” with the individual’s MAC address. Press
↵ Enter . Turn off your device then turn it back on. You MAC address will have changed.

: Open “Terminal”. Type “su” and press ↵ Enter . Type “busybox iplink show wlan0” and press ↵ Enter —this will reveal your current MAC address. Type “busybox ifconfig wlan0 hw ether xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx”, replacing “xx” with the individual’s MAC address. Press ↵ Enter . This will change your MAC address. You can make sure this worked by entering “busybox iplink show wlan0” and press ↵ Enter —this will reveal your new MAC address.

Install WhatsApp on your phone.
Launch “WhatsApp”.
Click “Agree and Continue”.
Enter the individual’s phone number instead of your own. This will allow you to receive their messages and send messages from their account.
Press “Done”. WhatsApp will send a confirmation code to the individual’s phone.
Retrieve the confirmation code and enter it into your phone. This will verify the account.

Change your MAC address. When you no longer need to access the individual’s WhatsApp account, follow process outlined in step 6 to change your MAC address.

                 Desktop or Laptop
Ask the individual if you can access their WhatsApp account. Hacking into another person’s WhatsApp is an invasion of their privacy. Before you make any attempt to access their account, ask them for permission.
Open “WhatsApp” on their phone.
Click “Settings”. Find “Settings” in the very bottom, right corner of the screen.
Select “WhatsApp Web”.
Click “OK” when asked if the app can access the camera.
Navigate to web.whatsapp.com or click [[1] ].
Check the box next to “Keep me logged in”.
Scan the QR code. Raise the individual’s phone to the computer screen. Center the camera over the QR code. [11] Once scanned, a green checkmark will appear on the screen of the phone. Because blood is so rich in iron — and because the body has difficulty excreting excess iron — any animal that consumes blood regularly runs a risk of iron overdose. While iron is necessary for all animals (and indeed most life), in high doses it can be toxic. This condition, called haemochromatosis, can cause a wide variety of diseases and problems, including liver damage, buildup of fluid in the lungs, dehydration, low blood pressure, and nervous disorders.
     Even so, blood-feeding in humans seems to be more common than one might expect. John Edgar Browning of Georgia Tech, who has researched the practice, suggests in a BBC article that thousands of people across the United States drink blood for various reasons. Some of these people say the oxygen- and iron-enriched substance gives them energy, and none of the drinkers interviewed by Browning have had any ill effects from their behavior, so perhaps they didn't overdo the blood meals: "No vampire I’ve interviewed has complained of any medical complications as a result of consuming blood," Browning said, according to BBC.
       Unlike humans, the bodies of animals that digest blood have adapted specialized digestive mechanisms. According to Katherine Ramsland in her book "The Science of Vampires" (Penguin Putnam, 2002) the vampire bat, "requires an enormous intake of iron, which helps make hemoglobin for carrying oxygen from the lungs to the body tissues. Yet the iron intake is generally higher than what the bat needs, so it has a special process for secreting the excess. When ingested, the blood goes through a tract that's adapted for extracting nutrients. Research on this system suggests that bats have a mucous membrane along the intestinal tract that acts as a barrier to prevent too much iron from getting into their bloodstreams."
You, however, are not a vampire bat. Because humans did not evolve such an iron-extracting mechanism, drinking blood can kill us.
         If you're thinking of sampling human blood, make sure there's a doctor handy — for you, not your victim.
